Bouctouche, NB - Laurie LeBlanc's Long Weekend album receives 2 nominations at the 10th annual Canadian Country Gala.
LeBlanc’s 8th studio album Long Weekend includes two disks, one English EP and one French EP. Both EPs are nominated for Album of the Year (Other Languages and Classic Country) at the Canadian Country Gala which celebrates it's 10th edition.
The album which received its first nomination at the latest edition of the East Coast Music Awards (ECMA) is also nominated in four categories at the 9th Annual Josie Music Awards (JMA) in Nashville Tennessee on Sunday October 22. the Canadian Country Gala to take place on Thursday October 26 at the Club Soda in Montreal, QC.
« It’s an honor to be nominated for both EP's on the bilingual project" Says LeBlanc. It was no easy task to write a summer feel good album during the pandemic on the cold days of winter 2021, but I think we were able to bring a little sunshine with "Long Weekend" Adds Laurie excited to learn of the nominations.
About the Long Weekend Album
Long Weekend is a double-EP comprised of six brand new songs in English, and six in French.
Working with top producer Jason Barry once again, Laurie crafted the songs to convey a feel-good summer vibe in both languages.
