The event honors a former Clement-Cormier High School student who has distinguished himself\/herself with all proceeds going to the school\u2019s scholarship fund.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>From the class of 1987, LeBlanc was pleasantly surprised to be named the 10th recipient of the \u201cP\u00e8re Cl\u00e9ment-Cormier Award\u201d.  With all proceeds going to the school\u2019s scholarship fund (39,000$ raised), the event honors a former Clement-Cormier High School student who has distinguished himself \/ herself.  Amongst the recipients, we find Benoit Bourque, MLA Kent South at Government of New Brunswick and the giant actor Robert Maillet.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cI am extremely lucky to have been chosen by the selection committee.\u201d There are so many alumni who deserve this award as much as I do!  It is such an incredible honor!\u201d Admits Laurie LeBlanc. \u201cTo receive this honor is to receive the support of my loved ones and my community\u2026 and that is incredible!  It\u2019s a nice pat on the shoulder that motivates us to continue.\u201d<br>\u00a0<br>Nearly 300 people came for this special event.  After the five-course meal, the country music singer-songwriter took the stage to accept his award of excellence \u2013 a beautiful hand made photo drawn by Am\u00e9lie Gallant, a former Cl\u00e9ment-Cormier student -
