Bouctouche, NB – Country Music Singer-Songwriter Laurie LeBlanc was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year last night at the 9th Francophone Country Gala which took place at the Country Club Desjardins during the Festival Western St-Tite in Quebec.

The Bouctouche, New Brunswick artist who just released his 8th album “Long Weekend” is honored to receive this award. “I’m so grateful to have the support of the industry and the fans. After the past two years of struggling, it gives us a little boost to continue.” Proudly admits Laurie LeBlanc.

Fall 2022 will be a busy one for the Acadian Country Singer. From September 26 to October 1st, LeBlanc will participate at the Eloizes event in Petit-Rocher, New Brunswick. In addition to being nominated in the category “Artist having distinguished himself the most outside of Acadia”, Laurie will perform during the live broadcast of the show Soirée des Éloizes on Saturday October 1st. He will also present workshops in secondary schools during the week’s event.

In October, Laurie will attend a couple of award ceremonies. His song “All In” is nominated for Video of the Year at the Music NB Awards in Moncton, New Brunswick. He’s also planning to attend the 8th Josie Music Awards at the famous Grand Old Opry in Nashville Tennessee on October 23. With 52,000 submissions, Laurie was surprised to receive three nominations: Male Modern Country Artist of the Year, World Music Artist of the Year and Traditional Country Album of the Year with his 7th album When It’s Right It’s Right.
The stars have aligned perfectly for the recording of this seventh album which was produced by multi-award winner Jason Barry. In fact, Laurie won a trip to Paris with his "Entertainer of the Year" Award at the 2018 Francophone Country Gala. In 2019, Laurie headed to Europe; and met Irish singer-songwriter Don Mescall at the Country Music and Line Dance Congress organized by the FFCLD in Issoudun, France. A few weeks later, Mescall pitched several demos for LeBlanc’s When It's Right It's Right album, including the title track which fits perfectly with the circumstances.
